Use Tazorac exactly as prescribed by your healthcare professional. Wash your hands before applying the medication, unless you are treating your hands for psoriasis. Be sure to completely clean and dry your skin before applying the cream on affected areas. Use enough cream to cover the affected areas with a thin film. Avoid application to normal skin as Tazorac is more irritating to normal skin. Do not cover the treatment areas with dressings or bandages. What Should Be Avoided While Using Tazorac?

Weather extremes such as wind or cold may be more irritating to patients using Tazorac. Hence, such extreme weathers should be avoided. You should also avoid contact of Tazorac with eyes and mucus membranes, eyes, lips and nose. In case of contact, rinse thoroughly with large amounts of water. Also, avoid excessive exposure to sun, use of sunlamps as you may have a greater risk of getting sunburns during use of Tazorac.
